The Challenge.

The Finance team receive over 75 spreadsheets a week documenting volunteer expenses in their team email box.

Each spreadsheet needs to have data extracted and transposed to a journal (Excel spreadsheet) and had to be imported into Dynamics 365.

This is a very time-consuming process.

The Solution.

A Digital Worker was created that monitors an Outlook mailbox, processing emails with a particular subject line.

The spreadsheets are downloaded from the email and transaction lines are entered onto a Journal template.

The template is then sent to the Finance team to be processed.

Files are also uploaded to Content Server for audit purposes.
